How soon will I be able to see results?
The Rembrandt professional tooth whitening treatment produces immediate results for patients.  Depending on the current shade of your teeth when you begin treatment, and the level of whitening desired, you may require multiple treatments before you whitening process is complete

Is the Rembrandt tooth whitening system safe?Absolutely.  The tooth whitening gel used during treatment contains FDA approved levels of the special whitening agent.  Also, the light used to accelerate the whitening process is approved for use and adheres to strict safety guidelines are maintained.  It can be programmed to emit a certain exposure for a safe amount of time.

How does the tooth whitening gel work?
The Rembrandt whitening gel contains a strong amount of peroxide to bleach teeth to the desired shade.  Peroxide works through oxidation of the tooth surface, meaning it decolorizes the stained areas through formation of chemical compounds.  The peroxide solution works on tough stains on the enamel surface, and proceeds to penetrate tooth dentin for long-lasting whiteness.

How does the plasma arc light accelerate tooth whitening results?
After the whitening gel is applied, the plasma arc light targets particles of light to your enamel.  The light helps break down the peroxide agent, allowing it to release oxygen quickly and produce dramatic tooth whitening results in a shorter amount of time. 

Can my dental work be whitened with the Rembrandt system?
No.  Dental bridges, crowns, veneers, and bonding are not affected by tooth whitening agents.  If you are planning on having you teeth whitened after having dental work done, you can either ask Dr. Massa to choose a shade that is lighter than other teeth, or have your crown or other restoration replaced after whitening.
