Dr. Tomaro received his D.D.S. degree in 1980 from the University of Michigan, where he also received his Bachelor of Science degree and Master’s degree in Biology/Histology. Prior to his relocation to Las Vegas, Nevada, Dr. Tomaro enjoyed 26 years of private practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He returned to private practice in 2008 in Las Vegas, after three years as Director of Clinics at Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. As a member of Catapult Education, Dr. Tomaro lectures in the United States and abroad on aesthetic dentistry and his unique process for natural smile design and the treatment of worn dentition.
Dr. Tomaro is considered an expert in restorative and esthetic dentistry. He also has extensive and comprehensive knowledge of TMJ, and his ability to understand complex occlusion has prompted dentists to not only refer patients but to seek him for their own personal treatment.
He also serves on the editorial board of national dental publications as well as an independent consultant and clinical researcher for many dental manufacturers and dental laboratories, as a member of Catapult.
Dr. Tomaro has held several positions in organized dentistry and in affiliation with the following prestigious organizations: awarded Lifetime Member ADA-American Dental Association, Nevada Dental Association – past Chairman of SNDS Peer Review Board, present member of ISDS – Illinois State Dental Society, and present member of CDS – Chicago Dental Society.
Dr. Tomaro is particularly famous for his style of veneers, smile design, and the treatment of worn dentition. Using facial landmarks to dictate tooth position can enhance aesthetics and conserve tooth structure. Each porcelain veneer is handmade by Dr. Tomaro’s personal ceramist who custom-blends the porcelain according, in part, to the patient’s desire and Dr. Tomaro’s direction, for the natural-looking finish. No two patients will have the same smile. Thus, the reason why many Las Vegas celebrities and performers sought Dr. Tomaro to create their new smile at his Las Vegas dental office. Dr. Tomaro and his wife Cheryl moved to Naples to join the team.
