Complete Your New Patient Forms Before You Arrive

Completing your paperwork in advance can make check-in easier and give our team an opportunity to receive important information before your appointment.

Please review each question carefully and provide complete, current information. Your dental and medical history can influence treatment recommendations, medications, imaging decisions, and other parts of your care.

Understanding Dental Costs & Payment

Financial questions are part of making an informed treatment decision. We want those conversations to be clear rather than something you have to raise after treatment has already been planned.

When treatment is recommended, our team can explain the estimated fee and the practice’s current payment process before care begins. If you have dental insurance, have your plan information available so the team can explain how Massa Dental Center currently handles benefits and claims.

Your First Dental Visit

What to Expect

Your first appointment gives us an opportunity to understand what brought you in, learn about your dental history, and establish what you want from your care. It should begin with a conversation rather than assumptions about what treatment you need. The exact visit duration varies based on your health, concerns, and existing dental needs.

Before Your Appointment

A little preparation can help us make better use of your visit. Complete your new-patient paperwork in advance and be ready to share your current medical history, medications, and any dental concerns you want us to understand.

If you have recent dental records or radiographs from another practice, tell our team when scheduling. We can explain the current process for determining whether those records may be useful.

During Your Examination

Your evaluation is tailored to your needs rather than built around a rigid checklist. Depending on your history and clinical findings, the visit may include an examination of your teeth, gums, existing dental work, bite, and oral tissues.

Digital radiographs may be recommended when they provide information that cannot be adequately obtained from the clinical examination alone.

After the Examination

We explain what we find and discuss which concerns deserve attention now, which can be monitored, and what treatment options are available.

Our goal is to give you enough information to make a comfortable decision about your care. Finding a dental problem does not mean that treatment has to begin that day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Massa Dental Center FAQs

Complete the electronic new-patient forms using the link near the top of this page and submit them online before your visit. Review your contact information, medical history, medications, and other responses carefully before submitting. If something is unclear, call Massa Dental Center at (239) 597-7333. Providing accurate information helps our team understand your history and prepare appropriately for your appointment.

There is no single imaging schedule that is right for every patient. The need for dental radiographs depends on factors such as age, current oral health, previous findings, symptoms, cavity risk, gum health, and existing dental work. We recommend imaging when it can answer a clinical question or reveal information we cannot adequately assess otherwise. If radiographs are recommended, we can explain why they are useful in your particular case.

Daily cleaning between the teeth is an important part of home care because a toothbrush does not effectively clean every surface between neighboring teeth. Traditional floss is one option, but interdental brushes, floss holders, and water-flossing devices may be easier for some patients. The best method depends on your teeth, gums, restorations, dexterity, and preferences. Ask your hygienist to help you choose a technique you can use consistently.

You can submit the appointment request form on the Massa Dental Center website or call us at (239) 597-7333. The online form lets you provide your preferred days and times, as well as any questions or concerns you want the team to know about. Submitting the form is an appointment request, not a guarantee of a specific time. Our team will follow the practice’s current process to confirm your availability.

You can still start with an evaluation. People delay dental visits for many reasons, including anxiety, previous experiences, finances, changing priorities, or simply losing track of time. Our role is to assess where your oral health stands today and explain reasonable next steps. You do not need to apologize for the time that has passed. We can help you prioritize care based on what we currently find.
